Badfish is one of the top Sublime tribute bands in the nation and they are coming to the State Theatre in Falls Church tonight, Friday January 18, 2013 with specials guest Dale and the ZDubs. Doors open at 7PM and the show scheduled to start at 9PM. It should be a great way to kick off your weekend in a rocking style.
Then on June 20th the Magnolia House Storytelling Festival at Bulloch Hall gets under way as one of the more family favorite summer festivals in Roswell. Again it’s free and is always fun for all ages.
This week at the Hotel Cafe is going to be incredible. I recommend the following shows: Sweetwater and the Satisfaction at 11 p.m. tonight; Jade Hendrix at 9 p.m. on Saturday; Zane Carney at 9 p.m. on Monday; Kevin Laurence record release show at 8 p.m., followed by Nina Storey at 9 p.m. on Tuesday; and Stop Motion Poetry at 8 p.m. on Wednesday.

Many of the eighties corporate events band today have better equipment and sounds thanks to the evolution of technology in the 21st century, so if your tribute band happens to be good, as many are, then you will be getting a sound just like the original.
Other impersonators don’t even wait for the hapless original artist to stop touring or die. Call 905-842-7625 and, if you’re nuts and lucky, you can book an ersatz Neil Diamond, Jennifer Lopez, Tina Turner, Ricky Martin or Madonna for your bar mitzvah or high school prom.
If you missed Johnny Cash during his lifetime, then tribute bands are about the only thing left. For some classics like “I Got Stripes” and “Cocaine Blues” head to Tractor Tavern and keep Johnny Cash alive via Cash’d Out.
